Service Technician

Reporting to: Commissioning Manager & Warranty Manager / After sales Manager

Key result responsibilities / objectives:

  • Ensure that all Catering equipment are checked and started up on time, and according to Almaco’s requirements.
  • Report progress of works carried out during commissioning.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with Almaco quality management manual, current codes, standards, and other relevant specifications and plans.
  • Ensure that non conformances are being recorded and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure that only current drawings and documents are used
  • Investigating issues, diagnosing and repairing defaults
  • Troubleshooting
  • Training maintenance and operative staff when appropriate
  • Job can be carried out in new building or modernization project including during warranty period
  • Inspection of materials and equipment on board and in factory

Specific responsibilities:

  • Report commissioning progress to Commissioning/Warrantee Manager
  • In charge of the start-up tasks according to schedule, in accordance with the Commissioning Manager.
  • Participate to on site coordination meetings with Commissioning Manager, yard, owner
  • Commissioning feedback to improve design for next projects.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs of Catering equipment outside warranty period and outside installed base

Competencies required:                         

  • Good knowledge of and experience with GAL families of products (hot & cold equipment, dishwashing equipment)
  • Good knowledge of quality inspections and testing
  • Good skills with common office programs (Word, Excel)
  • Electromechanical background
