Job Description:
Our client a Commercial Boiler supplier and repair organization with potential for sales growth in the Long Island, NY Metropolitan area. The company is based in Sleepy Hollow NY. They are looking for an experienced manager with customer service and team building skills and will be responsible for overseeing the current staff of 20+ service technicians. 
 The ideal candidate for this “Working Assistant Service Manager” positon will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations, scheduling and coordination of services to our customers, dispatching technicians to emergency service calls, requesting and/or ordering required parts and material, computer input of service requests. Candidate must have excellent communications and organizational skills.  Candidate will be taking calls from customers, technicians and vendors.
 
 Job Requirements:
Must have (3-5) years’ experience in a service department as a technician, dispatcher or assistant manager. Experience in or a background in HVAC/ Boilers is a plus but not required. Computer competence required for data input and tracking, strong problem solving skills, multi-tasking, management and some project management skills are also required. Ability to forecast man-power needs. Ensure that employees follow their assigned work schedules. Enforce safety requirements. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors. 
Job Summary:
The Service Assistant, will work under the leadership of the V.P. and G.M. to support the process to satisfy customer demands and the companies’ service department requirements to serve the customers’ demands. The assistant will:
  1. Operate an efficient department to supply responsive, friendly service to its customers
  2. Candidate will be required to exhibit sound and accurate judgement capabilities based on presented facts and situations.
3)    Candidate will be expected to tackle challenging goals with a positive attitude and persistence.
4)    Candidate must be organized with ability to prioritize work activities, delegate where appropriate and not be reluctant to ask for assistance.  Candidate will demonstrate ability to adapt daily activities based on expected and unexpected deadlines.
  1. Candidate must be able to react and adjust to emergencies and be able to come up with contingency plans for emergency situations. 
  2. Develop and maintain excellent business relations with customers, vendors and or factory. 
  3. Ensure that associates work productively and safely. 
  4. The Service Assistant will work with team members to enhance cross-functional coordination, expand internal communication and develop an efficient operating department. 
  5. Candidate will act in a professional manner consistent with the company’s standards and to maintain a proper dress code standards.
